What to Bring & What to Expect

What to Bring

Comfortable shoes suitable for walking on gravel and outdoor paths
Layers — temperatures can cool off quickly in the evenings
A light jacket or hoodie for after sunset
If camping: standard camping gear and personal supplies
A relaxed attitude — this is an outdoor, laid-back celebration

What to Expect

Creekside Campground is an outdoor venue with a casual, rustic atmosphere. Most events will take place outside, surrounded by nature.

Dress code is best described as comfortable, outdoor-friendly wedding attire. Think “dressy casual” rather than formal ballroom wear.

Parking and campsites are close to the event areas, but expect a campground-style setting.

Typical Weather

Early October in Idaho City is beautiful but can vary throughout the day.

Daytime: Cool to mild, often in the 50s–60s
Evenings: Cooler temperatures after sunset
Weather: Crisp mountain air with a chance of fall breezes

We recommend dressing in layers so you’re comfortable from afternoon through evening.

Weekend Flow

This weekend is meant to be relaxed and flexible. There are plenty of activities to explore in and around Idaho City, and guests are encouraged to enjoy the area at their own pace.

Friday (Oct 2): Guests arrive and settle in. Amanda and Justin will be on-site and plan to visit the hot springs at Inn the Pines Friday evening.
Saturday (Oct 3): Wedding prep during the day, with the ceremony beginning at 4:00 PM. Dinner, dancing, and celebrating follow.
Saturday Night: Amplified music will wrap up at 10:00 PM, after which we’ll continue the evening at the campsites with a bonfire and time with friends and family.
Sunday (Oct 4): Breakfast in Idaho City at Trudy’s Kitchen, followed by tear-down, packing up, and goodbyes.

Please feel free to join us for as much or as little of the weekend as you’d like.

Registry

If you’d like to get us something, here is our registry:

Honeymoon Fund

If you’d like to contribute toward our honeymoon or help us plan our first family trip together, you can do so below.

These experiences mean more to us than things, and any support helps us create lasting memories as a newly married couple and as a family.

Completely optional — your presence truly means the most ❤️

Fun bonus: Amanda and Justin are having a friendly competition — whoever receives more contributions wins a bet and the other will have to perform a silly solo dance on the dance floor.

No pressure at all — your presence is the real gift.
